Although
the pennant No. does not appear correct for this ship, - "Janes" shows
her as H31,
I have been reliably informed by one of her ex-crew
( now
unfortunately deceased ) that she is correctly named above.
However, in
deference to all who have informed me that I have her in the "wrong"
place,
I have made an entry in the "CANADIAN SECTION" showing her as
HMCS Ottawa.
Again some uncertainty exists as 2 ships from the RN are shown as
having been transferred to the RCN in 1937-38 as HMCS Ottawa
and they are HMS
Crusader and HMS Cygnet. Any further information will be greatly appreciated.
My
thanks to Mr. Gareth Rees, amongst many others, for the information he has provided.
